Mohamed is a very helpful and knowledgeable guy, he is first and foremost a person in love with the place he lives in, then a tour guide. Both in planning and carrying out the holiday he was very organized and available to any requests, he uses excellent drivers and the guides he relies on for excursions to historical sites are real history books. The accommodations are excellent and our every request was met. We couldn't have asked for anything better!
For my trip to Afar, I was lucky to have Mehammed from
Jebena Tours as my tour guide. Mehammed is an incredibly knowledgeable, empathetic, and funny guy. There wasn’t a single question he couldn’t answer and brought a lot of great levity to the trip. He’s also showed great skill in de-escalating situations when tour mates would get testy with one another. There was even a a couple celebrating their anniversary during the trip and Mehammed was thoughtful enough to include the rest of us to help celebrate the couple with a toast to their 30 years!
I would definitely book a tour with Mehammed again and 💯 recommend him to anyone else looking to explore Ethiopia. You won’t be disappointed!
It was the most amazing and unforgettable experience of my life. Exploring the north of Ethiopia with Mohamed from Jebena Tours was a life changing experience. Everything was perfectly organized, on point, transport, hotels, food, culture, knowledge. Best price and overall benefits ever
This is without a doubt one of the most incredible experiences we have ever had in our lives. Mohammed is an amazing guide and this tour would certainly not be the same without him. We visited several tribes and places in the Omo Valley region and our guide told us all the details possible so that we could understand everything about these tribes. We had the opportunity to enter the local house and experience real life. The hotels/lodges that were arranged by our guide were just perfect, places always very clean and organized. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to take this tour with the best person possible!

The Bete Georgis church in Lalibela is a testament to the enduring faith and architectural brilliance of its creators. Named after Saint George, the patron saint of Ethiopia, this church stands as a memorial monument, embodying the deep spiritual devotion of its builders.
Arba Minch, which means "forty springs" in the Amharic language, is a picturesque town located in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region of Ethiopia. One of the town's most notable features is the presence of two stunning lakes—Lake Chamo and Lake Abaya—that flank either side of the town, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere.
The Hamer tribe, residing in the Omo Valley of Ethiopia, is known for their distinctive customs and rituals. They have a patriarchal social structure, where men typically herd livestock and women are responsible for household tasks. Their unique traditions include the bull jumping ceremony, a rite of passage for young men, and the intricate hairstyles adorned with clay and ochre worn by both men and women. The Hamer people place great importance on cattle, which are seen as a symbol of wealth and status. Despite modern influences, they continue to maintain their cultural identity and way of life.
